The most derelict part of the prison that is actually accessible is the Naval Wing. The wing was of course originally covered with an internal landing on each floor, initially for housing civilians then handed to the Navy. Supports for the landings this can be seen in the higher levels where wooden posts still remain. [...]
As is customary Viveca and I visited some nice decayed places over the holidays. This is a partially abandoned prison in Cornwall, UK. It was built in 1779 for prisoners of war and saw 50 public executions, the last of which was in 1909. The prison was closed in 1922 and was left to rot. [...]
