In contrast to the twin green baths in the ladies side of the asylum are the single blue baths for the male occupants.

The setting presented lots of good processing opportunities – the shiny tiles reflecting the light from the window and the grime left on the bath itself. As the room was a bit cramped and I wanted to exclude the shower cubical to the right a nice bit of wide angle distortion was employed to frame the image well. This gives a nice emphasis on the white of the bath tub in the foreground. Since having the 8-16mm wide angle lens I’ve really tried to use this method a bit more – pulling he foreground out and accentuating the subject of the image.

This is another example of knowing what your kit can do and using that to your advantage.
