This evening I went out with the express intention of shooting some images down by the Thames. I pretty much knew what and where to go to get the images I was after and managed to catch what I wanted. On the way back I remembered that there was a little secluded square on my way home that had some really good street art by SHOK-1. I’d been past on the double decker bus a few times so sort of knew what to expect but was blown away when I saw that there was easy entry (no climbing anything) and really good quality work in there.
The hoarding in front of this place had been painted by the same artist some time ago, but is now only half in place, taken down either by the property owners or some other n’er do well.
It was getting quite dark by the time I got there so was glad when the security light came on to light everything up for me – no need to push the ISO up on the camera.
WOW, a departure from your normal work today Mark, but I do have to say it’s totally awesome work! That’s some VERY artistic graffiti there. I truly love the shadows cast by the light in the second image, and the first one is just chock full of wonderful details! Great capture and processing today my friend, I love it.
Some good work there, I like both of those but especially the top one. A good trip home from work then!
You are becoming a “Master of Corners”, Mark. You’ve led our eye so effectively to the far reaches of the square! Love the moody message of the second image.
