This was the part of the hospital that I came to see, I’d seen several images of this bendy corridor before and was keen to find it for myself. There are not that may locations with curved corridors, so I was glad to open the door and stumble right into it.
I can only assume that this was part of the children’s ward, the bright paintings on the walls may have been painted by the patients

This is a good demonstration of the use of HDR – bright exterior and dark interior. HDR in this instance enabled me to get good exposure of both. I’ve used several plugins including a layer of texture that has been vignetted to guide the eye a little.
Nice work, love those windows!
This is really good – I like the square crop and the darkness that you have introduced, and yes, the HDR does work perfectly!
Great composition!
Good LORD sir, this is amazing. Love all the textures and details here, Mark. Another mesmerizing shot from you!!
This corridor actually led to the original ocupational therapy building (i.e. the one at the top of this corridor) – it was closed long before the total closure of the site, possibly at same time as some of the villas and southside sick ward.
The replacement OT can be found down towards the other end of the main block, near the chapel.
