I recently went for a trip to Marconi in Chelmsford. It was a solo explore and as such I am always very cautious and generally dont stay too long due to being wired up to every niose, creak, pigoen and anything untoward. However the size and the fact that it was a lovely sunny day soon relaxed me.
Having spent time in the RAF as a telecommunications technician using and fixing a great deal of Marconi equipment I was very interested to see what was here. I’m also a bit of a geek, so wanted to see where the birth of wireless occurred
At first I was quite disappointed to find only empty factory space, but as I explored further into the older workshops I was delighted to find a good deal of artifacts, varied workshops and art deco buildings.
I would certainly recommend a trip here, it’s an easy explore and photographically very rewarding.

Excellent set of Images Mark, love the website.
nice shots fella, glad you found this place as engaging as I did, you just gotta scratch the surface. The bird has moved since I was there – a bit like that doll I reckon.
