Corporate headshots are something that I’ve fancied having a crack at for some time. I really enjoy shooting portraits anyway and what better way to exercise this than with my own company.
The setup was easy and very quick, a simple white wall, shoot through umbrella and light for highlights and separating the subject from the background.
The team that I shot were also nice and easy as I knew everyone, so it was easy to strike up a conversation and relax the people who weren’t at ease in front of the camera.
I was also asked to take some shots of the office which I discovered later were to be used on our marketing material, I’m not so happy with these, had I known what they were to be used for I would have taken more time over them. This also brings up the notion of charging and copyright as well as photographic contracts which I may cover in a separate post.
I’m happy with the results of the corporate headshots on the whole, the team for the most part are pleased with them and were surprised at the output from one of their colleagues.
